Katniss, the storyââ¬â¢s narrator and heroine, is 16 years old and has straight black hair, gray eyes, and olive skin. Her father died in a mine explosion when she is 11. Since then, to keep her family from starving in the Seam, she has had to provide for her mother and sister, using the hunting and gathering knowledge that her father taught her. Her best friend and hunting partner is Gale, and, while they spend a great deal of time together, Katniss is sure that she doesnââ¬â¢t see him in a romantic light, something that comes into deep question when she is District 12ââ¬â¢s Hunger Games tribute and must work hard to maintain a star-crossed-lovers facade with Peeta Mellark. Throughout the novel, she remains a hunter and a survivor, ââ¬Å"the girl on fire,â⬠but she is also a girl who is very confused about her emotions concerning Peeta and Gale. Katniss must also remember to hide her true emotions about the Capitol: She loathes the Capitol and its tyrannical rule, but to rebel openly is to ask for punishment, oftentimes death. She is brave and daring and returns home from the Games a beloved star to her district but a menace to the Capitol dictators in charge of Panem. Katniss is very relatable to young girls because of her confusion with boys. This makes Katniss a great main character for the book because who doesnââ¬â¢t love a science fiction book with a relatable main character? How to cite Hunger Games Character Paper, Essay examples

Abortion research paper free essay sample
Abortion has been a major topic of debate based on morality and civil rights throughout history. Citizens have opposed each otherââ¬â¢s ideas of how to address abortion for decades. Many people believe that human life begins at conception and they view abortion as murder of an unborn child. Others believe that a fetus only gains the rights and privileges of personhood at birth. The morality and constitutionality of abortion remains a topic of fierce debate, but many countries, including the United States, have passed laws legalizing abortion. As a result, women can now receive abortions under the care and supervision of medical professionals in sterile settings. This has only caused the debate to increase in fervor. The two most commonly used methods for aborting a first trimester pregnancy, which is the first three months after conception, are medical and surgical abortions (Trupin). Most women who chose a medical abortion felt slightly more satisfied with their results. Introduction Conceiving a baby through a planned pregnancy can take many years, or it can take one meaningless night of excessive drinking and unprotected sex resulting in an unplanned pregnancy. There are many times when a women doesnt know she is pregnant until she visits the doctor, and since it is an unplanned pregnancy it leaves her with a hard, unwanted decision. She can chose to carry on with the pregnancy or choose to terminate it. Abortion is the removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus in order to end the pregnancy. Each year, more than 6 million American women become pregnant. More than half of those pregnancies are unintended. And more than 1. 6 million American women terminate their pregnancies through abortion. Relin,1990) Laws for abortion have changed over many of years of arguments and debates, and this has affected its legal status. Abortion has a long history behind it, from starting off illegal in the early 1820s. Since 1973, when abortion became legal nationwide ,it has been one of the most controversial issues in American politics and culture(Gale,2005). Abortion has been a continuing battle since the early 1800s, there have been debates fighting fo r the women and fighting against them. Abortion is a very controversial topic in government and law still to this day, the reason why it is so controversial is due to the different opinions that are being put in and thought of. Abortion procedures have also changed and evolved since the 1800s, all procedures were very risky and it was not sanitary enough to be safe. Looking at the legal status and history of abortion is deceitful to all of the other aspects of abortion, like the effects it has on the women and Pro- life vs. Pro-choice. There is always going to be two strong definitive sides to abortion and they alter between the pro-life side and the pro-choice side. On the pro-choice side after women have abortions the feel liberated, it becomes a positive experience for them, provides inner strength, improves their self-esteem and motivates them to refocus their lives in a meaningful way. On the pro-life side women who did not want an abortion but were caught in a difficult situation develop eating disorders, depression, guilt, suicidal thoughts and alcohol and drug abuse. There is always two sides to every story, and abortion has two definitive, strong opposing, that may never come to harmony and will not come to an agreement together. Pro-Choice defends all people from different ages and backgrounds. â⬠(Gay, 2004). Pro-choice is giving the women control over her body and allowing her to make the decision she will be content with. Pro-choice is for women and teenagers who choose to end their own pregnancy because they feel that they cannot care for the baby, the father may refuse to take responsibility for his childs care. Many young wom en are concerned about their own life circumstances and their ability to raise children, and others who have considered adoption cannot bare to think about carrying and nurturing a baby for nine months then giving it away(Gay, 2004). Pro-choice is for female activists and their beliefs on women taking control of their own body and making their own decisions. The other side of the debate in abortion is pro-life, which is defined as murder, killing an innocent baby which has no say. It has been reported that anti-abortionists relate having an abortion to murdering someone. They believe that a murder is intentional and so is an abortion because you are planning to abort the baby (Currie, 2000,103). Results have shown that people who advocate for Pro-Life primarily are Christian or Catholic members because of the Bible. In the Bible, it does not say directly that abortion is not permitted it makes references to make it clear that God felt very strong about the fact that a fetus or embryo is still considered a human. It suggests that God creates the babys life well its in the womb and it also says that the same penalty should be giving to someone who causes the death of the child in the womb as to someone who commits murder (Frechet, 2009). As you can see there is two very strong definitive sides to the debate of abortion, both having strong arguments. History Abortion has been known since the ancient times. Women in all cultures have used it as a method of birth control, regardless of whether the culture officially permitted it. Over many centuries women wishing to terminate a pregnancy have drunken poisonous liquids, rubbed certain herbs on their stomachs, or even attempted to pierce their wombs with sharp objects(Currie,2000,57). In the United States, abortion laws started to appear in the early 1820s, forbidding abortion after the fourth month of pregnancy (Gale,2006,89). In 1873 a man named Anthony Comstock introduced the Comstock act which banned all methods contraceptives which included abortion. This act prevented any person from obtaining knowledge about methods of birth control as well as abortions. In 1890 abortion was made legal, but only after the pregnant women has met with several doctors to confirm that she will be put in danger without having it done(Garrow,1999). In the 1900s all abortions were banned again by the government. A portion of physicians betrayed the law and secretly performed black market abortions without consultations. This event shows that people are starting to rethink their opinions on abortion and how it affects them and their families. During the 1960s abortion was legal but only if the women was mentally or physically handicapped, if she was raped, the baby was a product of incest, and if she was not healthy enough to carry the baby or it would put her in harm during delivery. In 1971 the Comstock act was repealed, all states except four, abortion was legal but only under certain conditions and in the other four states it was legal and guaranteed women the right to terminate their pregnancy. (Gale,2006,92) The case that set the standard for the current debate over abortion was one of the most controversial decisions the U. S. Supreme Court ever handed down. In its 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, the Court declared that a womans constitutional right to privacy prevented a state from banning abortions during the first three months of her pregnancy, or at any time if her health is at risk. The effect of Roe was to make abortion legal throughout America. (Relin,1990)The Hyde Amendment was passed by the congress in 1976 which meant that abortion was excluded from comprehensive health services. Abortion was not covered therefore it would be payed for out of their own pockets, but it was still legal. In 1981 in the case of Bellotti vs. Baird the supreme court ruled that pregnant minors can fight to have an abortion without parental consent. In 1983 the court dismisses the idea of having doctors give their abortion patients more options so that patients will change their mind. Also during this year it requires all abortions further then the first trimester to be done in hospitals, minors require parental consent and also requires the aborted fetus to be disposed in a humanly way. On December 25th, 1984 three abortion clinics were bombed, this was a result of the Roe vs. Wade case in 1973 which legalized abortions, since then it has been very controversial and oppositions have turned physical and violent. In 1992 the court reaffirms Roe vs. Wade case and restates that nothing nor no one can interfere with the womans decision for an abortion and abortion will not be banned. The court does uphold 24 hour waiting periods and mandatory parental consents. 1993 was the year of violent protesters, two abortion doctors were shot outside abortion clinics. Dr. David Gunn which ended fatal and Dr. George Tiller was shot in the arm while leaving a clinic. 1995, a follow up from the Roe vs. Wade case, Norma McCorvey a. k. a Jane Roe who did not have an abortion because the court ruling was too late, also turned pro-life and regrets her decision her role in the landmark case. The abortion debate shifts again in 1996 and bans partial-birth abortion using the dilation and evacuation method. While Americas abortion debate is at a standstill Canada joins the movement in 1969. In 1969 Canada starts their fight in abortion, it is legal but only under certain circumstances which includes the health of the women, the health of the fetus, and if she has been raped or a product of incest. During the years of 1973-1974 a man named Henry Morgentaler opened up an abortion clinic in Montreal, with many arguments and court hearings they allowed him to keep his clinic. Then in 1982 Morgentaler opened up a free clinic in Toronto and attempted to open one in Winnipeg but the health board of Manitoba denied his request. In 1988 ââ¬Å"The Supreme Court of Canada in a split decision strikes down Section 251 of the Criminal Code; declaring it unconstitutional. Provinces respond by setting up their own regulations on the performance of abortion. In Manitoba where the Morgentaler case was in abeyance pending the Supreme Court decision, the government now permits abortions outside of hospitals but refuses to pay for abortions from public funds. Morgentaler announces a five year plan to open clinics in all provinces. â⬠(Kava, 2008). 1990-1994 Henry Morgentaler opens up clinics in Newfoundland, Edmonton, Calgary, and New Brunswick. Pro-Life (Unborn rights) ââ¬Å"Abortion is murder, plain and simple. Babies are being butchered. Its a child not a choice. â⬠(Gay 2004). Pro-Life is protecting those who are not yet born. People that belong to the pro-life movement feel very strongly that at conception, the embryo is a living human being. They are opposed to abortion no matter the health or circumstance the women is in, she could be at high risk during labour or she could of been raped or a product of incest. 62% of the Pro-Life movement belongs to Christian or Catholic religions(Ertelt, 2011), so they follow the bible and believe god is their guide in life. The bible talks about abortion but not in direct relation. It makes suggestions, like god creates us while we are in the womb and that fetus or embryo is killed on purpose there should be the same penalty as to someone who commits murder(Gay,2004) This shows how strongly they felt about abortion and how they live by their religion and the bible. The Catholic Church is committed to the value and dignity of all human life and seeks to end abortion because the fetus is a living human being. Abortion is a human rights issue as well as a social and moral issue and therefore should not be viewed as a private decision. The pro-life movement supports women so that they will respect themselves and the life of their unborn child(Gale,2005,76). Pro-Lifers repeatedly argue that human life begins at conception and should be legal protected, they considered the baby and giving them the right to life before the womans health. It has been reported that Pro-Lifers believe abortion is a disgrace and it far from liberates women and safeguarding civil rights. ââ¬Å"Abortions leads directly to a disregard for human life and to establishment of a culture of violence and irresponsibility. â⬠(Gay, 2004). The Pro-life movement feels very strongly about conception and that at that time the embryo is considered a human life, they also feel very strongly about the fact that abortion has never and will never solve any womans problems. This is only one point of view not all pro-lifers feel this way it is just a general overview of their feeling and beliefs. Pro-Life activists have had conversations with Pro-Choice activists and the Pro-Choice activists have said if abortion does become illegal again, so many illegal clinics will open and they will be unsanitary and not only will one life be lost so will another. Pro-Life fought back against this with the argument that if abortion is legal then so should murder it is the same thing, killing an innocent person without their consent. Pro-Choice activists were very upheld by this they do not believe that a embryo or a fetus is an actual human being until they can live on their own outside the womb which occurs around seven months into the pregnancy. Pro-Lifers have been trying to fight the legislation, the government and the laws since the early 1800s. Both sides have valid arguments and they each have their own beliefs and groups that help them shape their opinions about abortion and choose which side they are for. Pro-Choice (Rights of the Women) ââ¬Å"For a woman to be forced to give birth to a child, against her will, is an overwhelming violation of her freedom. â⬠(Currie, 2000,35). Pro-Choice is advocating for and letting women make their own decisions, she is human she has a brain she can think for herself. Laws should not get in the way of her having a decisions made only by her to save her or to make her happy. Pro-Choice advocates for women, not against them, they ensure she has the rights to her own body. ââ¬Å"Morally, legally, and practically , a fetus is not a person. â⬠(Currie, 2000). This argument goes both ways and everybody has their opinions about what they consider to be a human. The Pro-Choice movement does not consist of children haters, it consists of women who feel they need to make their own decisions. They also are protecting those who have been raped or have been a product of incest, pro-choice wants children just under the right circumstances and not because they have to or because there was not another way out. The fundamental question that the Pro-Choice movement asks is: ââ¬Å"Who decides? Women or Politicians? â⬠(Gay, 2004). Scientific evidence makes it apparent that abortion is not murder. The fetus at its best is a potential human being and not yet an actual human being. The differences between a fetus and a newborn baby are many and profound . Take the sensation of pain. A newborn feels pain; this is apparent by a simple observation. Until the very end of pregnancy however, essentially no evidence exists that a fetus can feel pain (Currie, 2000,42) Pro-choice feminism views the right to an abortion. Without abortion, women would unjustly be forced into motherhood. From a feminist standpoint, denying the right for women to choose to have an abortion forces them into submissive roles in society. Pregnancy works to condemn women to second class citizenship, since in our society, mothers are second class citizens. Once a woman becomes a mother, her resources to education, employment, and health care become severely limited. Gaining the access to safe and legal abortions finally allowed a woman to have the basic right of controlling her own body. Prior to legal abortion, women had two options: to undergo an unsafe, illegal abortion that put their bodies at risk or to continue their pregnancy, even in situations that were disadvantageous to both the woman and the unborn fetus. Society has no right to control what happens to a persons body, and does not try to manage mens bodies in such a manner, so the right to abortion has equalized women by giving them the right to manage their own bodies. Without legal abortions, underground unsafe abortions will still occur at the expense of a womans health. Pomeroy, 2008) Pro-Choice feels very strongly about letting women make their decisions without any borders. Pro-Choice wants what will be best for the female to live with and what will be best for her body. Even though Pro-Choice and Pro-Life are on opposite ends of the spectrum, they still are fighting for the same thing, abortion. Conclusion Conceiving a baby may be on purpose or just one crazy night out, but both will result in a to ugh decision. Should we keep it or should we end the pregnancy, the most difficult part of deciding is having the responsibility to make a new life or to end one, for the better. Abortion is very controversial because some may think the definition of human life is at conception while others believe that human life is defined as, fetus being able to live on its own outside the womb. A debate that has been going on for over 200 hundred years is the legal status of abortion, and which side your on. Pro-Life is one of the sides and people who are primarily pro-life are Christian or Catholic faith, they live by the bible, and the bible does not condone abortion in any such way.

Using Social Media To Promote Your Business Example Using Social Media To Promote Your Business ââ¬â Article Example Social Media Marketing Using social media sites as steady sources of traffic to the online businesses is a widely popularizing marketing strategy. Compared to the conventional advertising and promotional methods the social media marketing is cheap and effective. The effectiveness of this marketing strategy in empirical application however depends on the type of business and its compatibility to the new web based model (Lake, 2013). Popular social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google+ and LinkedIn adopt educative videos and guidelines specially designed for the business communities. Integrating of business community with the social media network is a mutually beneficial marketing strategy. On line retailers such as Amazon.com and eBay display business advertisements on social media sites which have similar content example: Amazon.com display Halloween offers on blogs that are describing Halloween festival. Thus the probability of advertisement being viewed by potentia l buyers is higher compared to advertising in conventional media such as Tv, Radio and magazines. Similarly there are blogs which assimilate customer reviews and ratings on product brands example: laptops, mobiles, exercise equipments etc. These blogs are marketing channels which effectively connect business communities and end consumers. Facebook fan pages, Youtube channels, Google groups and LinkedIn profiles are increasingly popularizing in contemporary Social Media Marketing. Ethics Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words
Ethics - Research Paper Example These topics are applied to the case of Mrs. Z, who is diagnosed with breast cancer but refuses to take additional treatment and disclose her medical condition to her family. This paper analyzes the ethical dilemma inherent in the case and how can the healthcare team resolve this through the application of ethical theories and principles in nursing. B. Justify the Importance of Ethical Theory to Nursing The key role of theories is to provide individuals with a worldview or perspective which may guide them in identifying, describing, explaining, or predicting phenomenon or formulating measures which will facilitate the phenomenon. The competencies that nurses use in the process of ethical decision making are not enough to make appropriate and coherent ethical decision (Lachman, 2012). There are several theories that are drawn upon to help nurses resolve ethical dilemmas. Ethical theories take into account the purpose or motive of the nurse, the techniques exercised by the nurse to car ry out the act, and the outcomes of the act. There are four ethical theories that are widely used in nursing practice, namely utilitarianism, deontology, virtue, and egoist (Fairchild, 2010). Utilitarianism is usually viewed as asserting that the decision-making process is based on the ââ¬Ëgreater goodââ¬â¢. Deontology is rooted in the notion of duty. Nurses have a binding obligation to pursue acts that will benefit their patients. Virtue theory states that the motive of the individual making the ethical decision is what establishes whether or not the decision was ethical or good. If the purpose was good, then even though the result was bad, the decision would still be moral. And egoist theory promotes the concept of rational self-interest (Fairchild, 2010; Paganini & Egry, 2011). B.1. Provide one example that shows the importance of ethical theory as it applies to nursing practice Mrs. Z refuses to undergo life-preserving treatment and disclosure of her medical diagnosis to h er family after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Dr. F and the nurse confront a typical ethical dilemma: they desire to prevent the perceived ââ¬Ëharmââ¬â¢ of Mrs. Zââ¬â¢s condition. Nevertheless, they also desire to fulfill the ââ¬Ëgoodââ¬â¢ of valuing the informed decision of the patient and prevent the ââ¬Ëharmââ¬â¢ of violating her autonomy. In this case the process of ethical decision making will require analysis of similarly firm but contradictory ideasââ¬ârespect for patient autonomy vs. the preservation of life. In this case the healthcare team may look at the deontological side of the situation to determine if their actions are in accordance to the rules and guidelines of their profession. On the other hand, virtue ethics will help determine if their actions are according to moral or good intention. C. Relate the Principle of Confidentiality to the Concept of Reasonable Limits Confidentiality is the obligation to protect and respect private infor mation. The rule of confidentiality states that nurses should give respect to their patientsââ¬â¢ privacy needs and use private details about them only to enhance their care (Longhi-Deshefy et al., 2004). Healthcare professionals must observe confidentiality to

The Neptune Gourmet Seafood Marketing Essay
The Neptune Gourmet Seafood Marketing Essay Neptune Gourmet Seafood is the third largest company in North America, it has been initiated 40 years ago. And it is growing rapidly. However, this growth in market demand is still insufficient as compared to the amount of catch the company are able to haul and process daily. As such, excess inventories have been piling up in the warehouses, and turnovers are slower than they ever were. To try to combat this issue, some strategies regarding the pricing of their premium products have been introduced for discussion. Talking about the growth possibilities and the problems that these strategies might encapsulate. Also offering a fresh perspective on the issue of launching a mass-market brand amongst existing premium brands. And give some alternative recommendations to solve the problem of oversupply. COMPANY BACKGROUND Neptune Gourmet Seafood is a $820 million company with its core business lying in providing high quality seafood and seafood-based products to its customers. Neptune is using a freezer trawler with new technologies that allow the vessel to catch and freeze fish in an environmentally sustainable way as these technologies super freeze fish to -70F while the usual is between -10F and -23F, and that retains the original flavor, texture and color of the fish, Neptune also generated approximately 30% of its revenues by selling frozen and processed fish products to United States grocery chains. Neptune had got a premium image among its customers, it had earned a reputation for producing the best seafood with high quality for the past forty years. In the $20 billion fishing industry, Neptune has managed to position itself as one of the top provider of premium seafood products. The company has been one of the best innovators in the art of fishing, with high investments made on developing tech nologies and technical know-how on maintaining the quality of its catches. Neptune also is gaining attention in its focus on environmentally sustainable fishing, in line with its tagline The Best Seafood on the Water Planet. However, the company have been facing some inventory problems due to oversupply, and have been seeking ways to remedy it without jeopardising the companys premium image. BUSINESS COMPETITIVE ENVIRONMENT Analyzing the business competition environment that Neptune operates in, through the porters five forces model Porters Five Forces Model of Competition COMPANYS MARKKETING MIX To identify Neptune target market, the market mix should be analyzed using four Ps model. PROBLEM ANALYSES While Neptune is one of the biggest companies in the market, it faces several challenges and problems in retain its position in the market due to the new technologies that Neptune adopted and ships that have been added to the fleet, Neptune became able to produce a large number of products comparing with the other companies where as the goods inventory shows that the supply of sixty days is twice the normal level and three times what it had been a year ago, and these products more than the targeted segments of Neptune which causing the excess inventory. Some parties believed that this inventory problem would only be temporary, as they relate this sudden influx in supply to the increase in the number of ships that would allow for a more efficient catching and processing of seafood. However, some parties have identified that the problem are not just the highly efficient fishing vessels, but truly lies on the newest amendment to the fishing law, which reduces commercial fishing near the coastal areas. As Neptune now have limited access to the waterways near the coasts, they are reduced to fish further out at sea. And due to the sheer abundance of fishes in this area, it ultimately leads to bigger catches that has ultimately put a strain on their inventory capacity. However, Neptune would have to push to sell off these excess inventories before they turn bad, and not being able to do this could lead to big losses. There are suggestions to reduce supply by stopping the usage of a few of Neptunes fishing vessels. However, having idle profit-making assets is not a very good business idea as the vessels are already sunk costs anyways. Neptune could probably sell off some of these assets but to do that would mean having to get losses from the sale of those vessels. Therefore, there is another suggestion to try to combat this problem of oversupply. Neptune suggests cutting prices of end products drastically to try to entice more buyers. However, there are several concerns surrounding the viability of this price cut. PRICE ANALYSES There are several suggested options by the team of Neptune to solve the excees of the inventory that the company facing, cutting prices is suggested by some but cutting the prices may solve problems in short term, while the overcapacity may stay long with Neptune. There also an issue highlighted in the case which is cutting price may effect negatively to the consumers image that Neptune achieved 40 years ago. After cutting the price consumers would conceive that these Neptune products sold at a lower price could be rotten and it could destroy their brand equity. Another effects of cutting price which may affects the future sales because restaurants and household consumers may buy and stock Neptune products in the period of cutting the prices, so the company will get lower sales in the future and it will consider it as an expense. As well as cutting the prices may lead competitors to reduce their prices too trying to compete with Neptune and after while the price would reach the equilibrium point. So many problems may occur due to cutting the prices the Neptune team has another suggestion which is introducing a new low-price seafood brand to the existing upmarket brand. Introducing this new roduct may lead to the cannibalization of the old premium products. Neptune has successfully positioned its Neptune Gold brand on the high end of the seafood market. Neptune are therefore scared that selling off the same seafood for a lower price under another brand would backfire as consumers could discover that both these offerings quality are at par with each other. Hence, consumers would naturally move towards purchasing the new brand instead of the premium one. Neptune also should consider the reaction of the United States Association of Seafood Processors and Distributors. This new brand by Neptune could be risky and possible to negatively affect their ASPD Gold Seal of approval that have strengthened their reputation for quality all these years retracted. This could further endanger the sales of their existing brands.. SUGGESTIONS TO IMPROVE MASS-MARKET Due to the problems and situation discussed above the idea of improving mass-market is suggested to distribute the excees inventory. It is an excellent idea to give opportunities of growth to Neptune. This strategy to expand their market as opposed to only threatening their currunt offerings, it is also good for the company to come up with something different to this new low-price brand to minimize the negative impact . producing low-price brand to add value to the current market segmentation by supporting the the premium one offered before. It is very important for Neptune to figure out what the consumer really wants from their seafood purchases other than price. Neptune could definitely create an edge over other competitors who are competing in the same price range by promoting the product with a focus on its quality. As a major supplier for seafood products, Neptune has definitely built a name for itself for its quality catches, and they should make sure that this message extends to the new brand as well. Therefore, Neptune could catch the attention of consumers looking for the best quality produce at a much more affordable price range. However, opening a new segment in the market by offering low-priced products will target the consumers who want products at a cheap price and differentiate them with consumers that on the normal market of Neptune. They achieve a competitive advantage over other competitors. In fact, Neptune would probably attract a lot of sales with this new mass-market brand, even with the stiff compe tition with other low-priced suppliers, as customers would assume that they could get the same value proposition delivered by Neptune with their Gold line, but at a cheaper price. This suggestion will reduce cannibalization by differentiate targeted segments, Neptune should retain its revenue from the premium offerings to restaurants and eatiers. CONCLUSION While Neptunes customers are loyal to the company to go back and repurchase its products and their demands are still continuously climbing, Neptune is still using its expertise and technologies to satisfy its customers and keep competitive in the premium seafood market. However, because of its new investment in new shipping vessels, top-quality supplies have also been climbing. However, this increase is not matched by a proportional increase in demand. As such, inventories turnovers have become slower and Neptune runs the risk of having these inventories turning bad in storage. Neptune team has come up with the strategy of slashing their offerings by half, and that is followed by the strategy to open a new mass-market brand. However, both suggestions have certain underlying problems connected to its implementation. But going through a new market segment is highly viewd as an opportunity instead of a threat for long run. As a conclusion, Neptune needs to lunch mass-market brand to solve the excees of the inventory as well as being the best in growth prospect to revive its position in the seafood market. RECOMMENDATIONS Some recommendations to Neptune to sustain its position as market leader and increase its market share through introducing a mass-market brand and implementing some strategies. To expand its offering giographically and open new market outside United States and importing seafood products. This strategy will lead the demand to rise up quickly to follow the rising of supply, so Neptune will solve the oversupply once the margin of demand increases. Neptune sould introduce promotions of its products to definite increases in environmental awareness, to encourage its customers to repurchase and then will get more profit As of currently, about two-thirds of Neptunes total revenue comes from sales made to restaurants, cruise ships and eateries. growing its consumer franchise is recommended as well. Neptune thus should try to collaborate with local supermarkets and grocers nationwide in order to let customers have access to these premium products easier. These recommendations to solve the problem of the excees of the inventory, also to help Neptune to be the leader of the market internationally and the biggest supplier of seafood products.
